The 2011 Wimborne 10 Mile Race
Great day again. Misty start and sunny finish - and no rain. With a race limit of 500 this year - the race filled up again as a few local clubs using the Wimborne 10 as their club championships. We had 436 Wimborne 10 finishers!. Winner this year is George Millerof Poole Runners coming in at 54:40 - a minute down on his winning time last year. Second place this year is Jacek Cieluszecki of Bournemouth AC at 55.08 and Third place goes to Simon Munro also of Bournemouth AC at 56:56

First lady was Laura Parsonage (Team Bath) at 1:01:11

Littledown Harriers took the Mens team prize and the Ladies team prize went to Poole Runners.

Running conditions were excellent and our luck is with us again with the weather - Again we had some good comments regarding the marshalls who still kept smiling and now well known and appreciated tea and cakes at the end - more than enough to go around. Plenty of compliments all-round on our 10 mile course.

Thanks to all who helped and participated. We missed the loud bangs! from the muskett men at the start this year?
